Migrants... What are they exactly? are they someone that grant your wishes? are they someone that rants about random stuff? nope. Migrants, are basically "people that moves from one place to another, especially in order to find work or better living". Migrating into other countries has been a thing for centuries, even including people such as Jose Rizal, our national hero and Elpido Quirino one of our former president of the Philippines are considered as immigrants. And by "has been a thing for centuries" i mean by more than 5 centuries to be exact. There are lots and lots of people from different countries that want to migrate to a different one and that is because, just like what I said earlier it is to live a quality life, earn salary for their family or for themselves and to avoid conflict. And most of the people that migrate is us, filipinos. We, filipinos are actually one of the highest migrants that are listed this century. The reason for this is because of poverty. I'd would say we could've been "poverty-free" if we hadn't have any of those "issues" back on the 90's but that is aside the point that we're still high of poverty on the recent times. Our ancestors confirmed that migrating is one of the ways to rise from poverty. But not just to rise from poverty. As you migrate from another country the knowledge that you have absorbed and the skill that you have learned can be transposed back in the country where you came from. An example from this is Jose Rizal. He migrated into other countries and learnt their languages in that way he could communicate and understand the colonizers back then. As time passes by, the migrants continued to prove that one of the best ways to rise from poverty is to migrate and sacrifice yourself for the better and for the worse.
The most obvious and most reasonable reason to migrate from another country is because of the raise of the salary. This has been an advantage it is because obviously, the country the person migrated has more to offer than the country where he actually belongs, so it is a win-win for whichever person migrated to which country. A study shows that compared to the average person working on the country where he belongs and the migrant working on a different country so he could have
more salary to earn is not even close. Statistically the migrant has about thrice maybe even quice the salary the non-migrant has. And this study wasn't even opinionated neither half-baked, it was a fact.
Migrating to another country is satisfying, you may ask why I know this but you don't really need to know, I just know how satisfying it is. Anyways, speaking of satisfaction, there are plenty and lots of reasons why migrating to another country is satisfyingly pleasing to the migrants, having "more salary to earn" and such, there comes in
Improved quality of life. Researchers have found out that "immigrants across the globe are generally happier following migration—reporting more life satisfaction, more positive emotions, and fewer negative emotions—based on Gallup surveys of some 36,000 migrants from more than 150 countries". Although migrants are more and more separated from their culture and traditions, they are living the life they always wanted to have and that is one of the benefits of migrating to other countries.
Natural resources, ah yes, the most important thing for humanity to survive. Now imagine a world without natural resources, you probably couldn't imagine it, right? I mean to be fair a world without natural resources hasn't been at least created, right? Anyways, migrants are less pressured on food and water, countries like Australia and New Zealand give out free food, water and hospitality and by hospitality I mean by literally free hospital funds. "Public hospital healthcare is free to all Australian citizens and most permanent residents of Australia. A combination of Medicare, private health insurance and personal payments covers the cost of treatment as a private patient in a public or private hospital." (January 3,2019). I still have no idea why they would do such thing to migrants but I guess that is a pretty good way to commit world peace and equality to one another.
(Miss Jeanille, ignore the American drama thing)
They say that migration is the best way to rise from poverty, however, migrating from one country to another can also have its cons. So, instead of risking or perhaps you're not prepared yet to venture out to the wilderness maybe try a few things first that could possibly rise from poverty, there are plenty of ways, such as doing a small business, people like David S. Gaisano (the founder of Gaisano Grandmall) started very very deep, he was once just a normal guy with a small business with very big dreams, he continued persuing with this business of his, until he became very popular, and had lots of customers until he finally built his own company and business apparel. You see, you don't really need to play the "high risk, high reward" type of card y'know? sometimes, we just need to take it slow, because we all have the time we want and we need.
If you're one of those people that are questioning and are nervous to know what their future is, then... WHY WOULDN'T YOU START NOW? ISN'T IT EASIER TO START EARLIER TO KNOW HOW MUCH YOU ARE CAPABLE OF?
